THE TEST
Rory attacks the server so the crew learns to defend it. He works on the Admin’s order, never announces himself, and never apologises for it.

WHAT HE DOES
Rory is the Test. When the Admin wants to know whether FB Server can take a hit, Rory is the hit: a login storm, a port scan, a service knocked over — without warning, because a drill you know about is not a drill. If you can see Rory, the exercise has already started.
When it is over he takes the visor off, walks the racks with Serra, and tells her plainly what he got through and what she still doesn’t know. Then he tells her where to find him.
ON THE SERVER
Real job: the attack drills — failed logins, unknown ports, a service that stops answering.
Real alert: whatever the Watchman catches, and whatever he doesn’t.
Real record: the debrief after every drill — found, fixed, still to learn.

Admin’s order, or nothing
Rory attacks only on the Admin’s authorization. Never on his own.
